Sarah Howell
Private Advisor to Business Owners
Business owners are rarely short of ideas or opportunities. More often, they’re deciding which ones deserve their attention.
I work privately, one-to-one, with established business owners carrying the responsibility of leading a business. Together we navigate the commercial, leadership and personal realities that come with it.
When you’ve been in business for a while, it’s easy to become too close to the business. My role is to bring an independent perspective, helping clients separate what’s become tangled, test assumptions and discern what matters.
Our conversations aren’t built around a framework or prescribed process. I work with the person in front of me, creating the conditions to think well, strengthen judgement and lead with greater intention.
Over time, clients develop stronger judgement they can trust long after our conversations have ended.
The decisions that shape a business are rarely just commercial. They affect people, finances, relationships and your own life. Having someone who understands your business, knows how you think and brings an independent perspective can make all the difference.
Many of my clients own trades and service-based businesses, although I work with business owners across a wide range of industries.
Alongside my advisory practice, I facilitate leadership and Women in Business Advisory programs, mentor business owners through trusted government organisations, and write The Human Side of Business on Substack, where I explore leadership, judgement and the human side of running a business.
If you’re looking for an independent perspective as you navigate the realities of business ownership, I’d love to have a conversation.
